During his teenage years, Oddone played a key role in the discovery of archeological evidence left by the Creature from the Black Lagoon, found on the nearby banks of the River Tanaro, nearby the bridge of Pollenzo.Oddone made contact with the creature.The two of them seemed to understand each other immediately, since they both had the experience, in common, of living a solitary life. Through their discoveries and communication, they come to see the Langhe hills as the ancient sea floor that it once was.
